Unfair contracts
If you feel your mobile phone contract contains unfair terms or conditions – for example, you are facing extremely high data download or call charges, you may be able to have the contract reviewed by your carrier if it is found to be unfair.
The first step is to approach your carrier and explain your concern.
If you don’t get a satisfactory response, you may be able to take your complaint to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (visit www.tio.com.au or phone 1800 062 058).
