Starting with nearly zero knowledge, after a few weeks I knew so much about the bank, the industry and the people. I was given a real role with real goals to achieve. What I found so rewarding at Citi was that no one is there to baby-sit you. You are given tasks that will help your team achieve its objectives and it really is up to you how you go about completing them.

Through my internship with Citi, people got to know me, my personality, my attitude and the way I worked. It let them judge me all the more clearly when I applied later for a graduate position. It is really like being given a 2-3 month interview. Internships give you a chance to prove yourself, to show people who you really are and of what you are capable. Citi is recognised worldwide and gives you opportunities like no other company I know.

Looking back, my internship was really a 'stepping stone' to the job I have now. And yes...I am still learning new things every day.
