"The opportunities are endless"

The benefits of Citi's Summer Internship are plentiful. Exposure to new challenges such as managing stakeholders, team collaboration and client interaction gave me genuine insight into the workplace environment - a truly valuable experience for any university student planning to embark on a career in banking.

During my internship in Global Transaction Services, I was assigned a project to identify potential new clients for a key Global Payments product. On completion, I was required to present my findings to a panel of senior GTS leaders. This offered fantastic presentation and project management experience, as well as the opportunity to contribute back to the business.

Other highlights of the program included weekly information lunches hosted by various Citi Markets & Banking divisions, which enhanced my understanding of the banking industry, key divisional interrelationships and the complex operations of the world's largest financial institution. The social contacts and new friendships forged during the internship also made it a most memorable experience.

Almost two and half years after completing my Summer Internship, I have now returned to Citi as a Sales and Relationship Executive within GTS. This is proof of the invaluable nature of the contacts you make during Citi's Summer Internship - the opportunities are endless.
