Stephen H. Roberts is Chief Executive Officer of the Citi Institutional Clients Group, Australia/New Zealand and Chief Country Officer for Citi Australia and New Zealand.
Stephen joined Salomon Brothers as an investment banking associate in 1984 and the following year was transferred to Sydney and promoted to Vice President in 1985. In 1989, he was appointed Director with responsibility for opening and heading the firm's Melbourne office. In 1992 he transferred to London as Director of European Capital Markets. He left Salomon Brothers in August 1995 to work as Regional Head of Capital Markets for Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong. He rejoined Salomon Brothers in August 1996.
Prior to his career with Salomon Brothers, Stephen held positions with the Australian Treasury and the Australian Foreign Service as Vice Consul in New York.
Born in Australia, Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Australian National University.
Julian Potter was appointed Consumer Banking Head, Australia in April 2013.
Julian has 20 years experience with Citibank both locally and overseas and has held leadership positions in Consumer Risk, Finance and Decision Management, managed the Consumer Lending and Credit Cards businesses and kick-started the Agent Banking white label credit card proposition.
Before rejoining Citibank in December 2011 to lead the credit card and Diners Club businesses, Julian was a Division Director at Macquarie Bank for almost five years where he launched their credit card business and managed Macquarie Bank’s self-directed investor proposition responsible for the distribution of online trading, cash management, term deposit, insurance, unsecured lending and mortgage product offerings.
Julian holds a Bachelors in Commerce from the University of Natal, Durban and qualified as a CPA in Australia.
